About Virtue Marketing & Design
The name “Virtue Marketing & Design” has been in my heart since 2022, when I first created the logo. It was originally inspired by my favorite Bible verses; Proverbs 31, often referred to as “The Virtuous Woman Chapter.” Over time, however, the name has taken on even more meaning.
When I first considered launching Virtue, I hesitated, believing I needed more experience before taking the leap. Looking back, I realize I already had the marketing and graphic design expertise necessary to begin. But what I truly needed to learn over the past three years was how I wanted to run my business—with integrity, purpose, compassion and a genuine commitment to helping small businesses grow. That’s where the deeper meaning of “Virtue” comes into play.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses and entrepreneurs, learning firsthand what works and what doesn’t in the marketing world. I also started my own small business, Sense of Southern, which gave me valuable insight into the challenges that entrepreneurs face when starting a business. I’ve met entrepreneurs struggling to afford branding and marketing services, some even questioning whether they could keep their doors open. Small business owners already have enough on their plates—marketing shouldn’t be an additional source of stress.

I have lived in small-town Canton, Texas for nearly 20 years. Throughout my final years of high school, I was one of those who swore they were going to move off and never come back. But after venturing out into the world, my perspective quickly changed. Years of commuting to Tyler and Dallas throughout my career made me realize just how much I love it here.
I love Canton, and small-town life in general. I love being able to walk into any place in town and see a familiar face. I love living in a town full of locally-owned small businesses. I also love that Canton is home to something as unique as First Monday, which I am now a vendor at. I love the sense of community and opportunity that Canton embodies, which is why I chose to plant my roots and build my businesses here.
